Employees who successfully complete the Leadership Empowerment Program (LEP) are entitled to a one-time waiver of posting for a UCF position, if mutually-agreed upon with the hiring authority. An employee should meet with the hiring official to discuss the position and to express their interest in requesting a waiver. LEP is a UCF year-long development program for under-represented faculty and staff managed by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
The hiring official should contact Human Resources for essential paperwork and approval.
- Employees must meet the minimum qualifications for the position.
- Waivers are only valid during UCF employment.
Prior to a job being posted, a candidate normally works out the hire details with the new department. Once a job is posted, the candidate may not use his/her waiver. She or he must apply for the position and successfully compete for the position as outlined in the HR Recruitment and Selection process.
