MOSAIC is a program focused on Mentorship, Opportunity, Support, Achievement, Initiatives, and Community.
MOSAIC’s goal is to provide a safe space for underrepresented faculty and staff and to foster collaboration and community building with an eye towards institutional cultural transformation.
One of UCF’s goals is to reach 25% employment of underrepresented groups among tenured and tenure-earning faculty and full-time administrative and professional new hires and to retain these employees for 5+ years. To achieve this metric, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion will focus on retaining faculty and staff from underrepresented groups and to make them feel safe, appreciated, and at home in the university community.
This year we plan on having a kickoff breakfast, a book club and a resiliency workshop with the author as well as other social activities throughout the academic year.
